Marajen Denman

Rhetoric School Teacher

Ms. Marajen Denman – graduated in 1970 from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Correction. From 1970 – 2000, she served with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), on college and high school campuses in the US, toured with an evangelistic rock band in Europe, recorded two solo albums and toured campuses in US and Europe, worked with the Jesus Film, and trained staff, teachers, ministers, lawyers and U.S. Congressmen in the art of persuasive speaking and Bible teaching as a member of CRU’s Communication Center. Also, during that time, she earned a Masters in Psychology (1988) and a Masters in Biblical Studies (1991). From 2000 – 2002, she wrote Bible curriculum for DOOR International (an international ministry to the deaf). In 2003 she launched a non-profit theatrical company called Heart Bandit Productions, Inc. From 2004 – 2019 Ms. Denman taught Logic, Rhetoric, Biblical Studies, and Theatre Arts at Trinity Academy in Raleigh. In the fall of 2019, she joined the faculty of CLA where she serves as the Rhetoric School Humanities Chair and teaches Humanities Literature and Composition, Logic II, Rhetoric I, II, and III, and Theatre Arts. Ms. Denman is an active member of Perry Creek Church in Raleigh.
